Below are some designs that we have created for various design briefs. These varied greatly from posters, Christmas cards, signs and general spot illustrations and also had to be created to suit different environments and tastes. From the above selection (which we shall continue to add to) you can see the various techniques, styles and media we can call upon to create a finished visual illustration or deign to suit any creative brief, target audience or client. This is just a small sample of our work and we can arrange for you to have a look at our full port folio on request. |

Logo
design.
This piece was created for an imaginary cafe called The Montgolfier Bros. Famous for the first balloon flight we took this as the theme and the idea was to have this look like a stained glass window. This was designed as the logo to be used throughout all promotional media. (Fictional brief - college) |

Spot
illustration/design.
These were created as spot illustrations to used within a leaflet/booklet for a wildlife/country park. They are ink line illustrations over spot colours, the idea was for this to be very free and abstract looking. Designed to to be drop in designs for specific catagories within the booklet/leaflet. Signage.
This brief asked to create a logo/sign to be used on the window of a business called The Mermaid. The design had to be simple enough to reproduced on a window display, the solution was this stylish yet simple 3 colour design. (Fictional brief - college) |

Card
designs.
These card designs were entered into a competition for SCOTVEC. The brief was to create cards that had a Christmas theme but which still retained a connection with Scotvec. In both designs we had decided to keep the colours vibrant and those that would be associated with Christmas. The first incorporates the Scotvec shield with some angels, with the overall idea being to emulate a stain glass window style. The second was was a cartoon style with the comment "The elves felt uneasy now the penguins had received there Scotvec results". Received a runner up position. |

Poster
design.
The purpose of this brief was to create a poster for an exihabition called "Signals" which was based on technology and communication. We came up with the idea of using Leonardo's idea the human scale as he was a forward thinker of his time then changing the human figure to that of a signalman to put over the communication theme. the background is made of various technical terms in different type faces. Poster/leaflet
design.
This was created as part of a brief from a solicitors who wanted to replace an already existing poster they had placed in various locations. Originally they had a two colour poster A3 with a cartoon illustration. They wished to keep basic idea of the poster so we tightened up the text layout, offered a full colour solution and three possibly cartoon solutions (they picked the main one showing). This was an all computer generated solution. The design solution was accepted and is currently in circulation. |

Logos.
We have many briefs which have included the design of company logos to be introduced into various publications from web use, letterheads, leaflets etc. Again we create a style to suit the clients requirements and target audience. Logos shown are currently in use. |

Log/signage and leaflet Design. These logos were created for a wine bar called Purgatory, the idea was to project both Heaven and Hell. This was followed through into the leaflet design (below) where we asociated red wines with the fire and heat of hell, and whites to the pure and coolness of heaven.
